\n2026\u00a0 ALL-STAR\u00a0 GAMES \/ PICNIC \/ SKILLS\u00a0 CONTESTS<\/strong><\/h2>\n
— SEPTEMBER 12th\u00a0!!!!!! —<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
We’re just over two weeks away from this event.\u00a0 A reminder email, with all the games’ details, etc., was sent last week.\u00a0 Yes, this year’s location may not be “convenient” to the majority of our members, but this is a once-a-year event.\u00a0 We have close to\u00a0100 members who live “North of the River” (as the saying goes) who travel south\u00a0of the river on a weekly basis–sometimes multiple times–to play\u00a0in one, or more, of\u00a0our conferences.\u00a0 \u00a0Seems like a small task for those south\u00a0of the river to travel north–just one time–to participate in, or enjoy\u00a0this event.<\/p>\n
This year’s All-Star Games \/ Picnic \/ Skills Contests\u00a0<\/strong>will be held\u00a0September 12th\u00a0at Happy Rock\u00a0Park,\u00a07565 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119\u00a0—\u00a0https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/uoBWPP91FenD3fKK7\u00a0.\u00a0 Let’s hope for great weather, AGAIN, as it was last year.<\/p>\n
For a great while, this event had been\u00a0held at Hartman Park in Lee’s Summit…but we\u00a0outgrew\u00a0that location.\u00a0 So last year we\u00a0moved the event\u00a0to the month of September\u00a0and to\u00a0Black Bob Park\u00a0for the first time.\u00a0 So, why aren’t we having\u00a0it there again this year?…because someone booked a tournament there for\u00a0the September 12th weekend…the\u00a0only feasible September (Saturday) date for us.\u00a0 \u00a0Thus, the reason we\u00a0moved it to yet-another location this year (i.e., Happy Rock Park).\u00a0 \u00a0Our plan is to be back at Black Bob again next year, but only time will tell.\u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
Every KCMSSL member, along with his \/ her guests, is\u00a0invited to\u00a0come socialize, enjoy the festivities, and partake of our new 2026 “Classic Cookout” food menu from Just Another Catering Company – https:\/\/justanothercateringco.lovable.app\/\u00a0.\u00a0 \u00a0The\u00a0menu we chose will be comprised of hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, and\u00a0baked beans — with tea, lemonade, or water.<\/p>\n

THERE IS NEW CRITERIA TO QUALIFY YOU FOR\u00a0AN AMBASSADOR JACKET !!<\/strong><\/h3>\n
As of this year, 2026, your\u00a0Board of Directors agreed to expand the universe of those eligible to receive an Ambassador jacket, or windbreaker.<\/strong><\/p>\n
What are\u00a0the new criteria’s requirement options\u00a0in this\u00a0expanded format?<\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0Qualifying service\u00a0consists of earning “credit points” via the :<\/p>\n
- \n
- Number of years played in the league, and \/ or<\/li>\n
- Number of years served as a team manager\u00a0and \/ or<\/li>\n
- Number of years served as a conference coordinator, co-coordinator, and \/ or<\/li>\n
- Number of years of service\u00a0on the Board of Directors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Any member who accumulates a total of 20 qualifying credits, in any combination of\u00a0playing, managing, coordinating, or serving on the Board<\/strong>, is now\u00a0eligible for an Ambassador jacket.\u00a0 \u00a0Qualifying service is limited to four credits per calendar year \u2013 one credit point each for each qualifying category: Managing;\u00a0Coordinating;\u00a0Playing;\u00a0and\/or Serving on the Board of Directors.<\/p>\n
